Liverpool meets France fusion wedding in the city centre | Bluecoat Liverpool Wedding
Melanie & Thibaud met online and had a whirlwind romance during the pandemic and fell madly in love! Mel is English but works as a translator and Thibaud is French. So this wedding was a complete fusion of UK meets France and we couldn’t have loved it more.

The Bluecoat is an absolutely perfect wedding setting. It’s unique and quirky and suited these two perfectly. The ceremony was conducted by Mel’s Mum and also featured a string quartet who were incredible. It was also the first time we worked with Maxine from Maxine Furness Films. Maxine was a dream to work alongside and we hit it off right away!
We had an absolute laugh all day with Mel and Thibaud, we went for a spin in their camper van down to waterfront for some of those iconic Liverpool shots in front of the Royal Liver Buildings before heading back to a gorgeous boho reception at the Bluecoat.
bouncing dance floor
But the evening of this wedding was just amazing. The atmosphere was electric and Girls that Mix absolutely had the dance floor BOUNCING. I immediately fangirled over them and started following them on instagram!
Considering there were some language barriers due to families speaking different lingo, you couldn’t stop the vibes! Every effort was made for everyone to feel comfortable and be able to fully enjoy the day. From the speeches being in two languages, to just a complete fusion of both cultures.
love a film reference
We have absolutely no doubt what so ever that Mel & Thibaud will have an incredible marriage. They both, and doggo Brinkley (living for the You’ve Got Mail shout) will definitely be the best family!
