Tuxes & Kilts | Liverpool Town Hall Wedding
‘Kim and Ant were the photographers at mine and my husband’s wedding. As a gay couple we wanted people we could trust – photographs are vulnerable enough without having to worry if the photographers are cool or not. Fully recommend The Struths. At one point Ant risked his life laying in the middle of a dual carriage way to get the shot we wanted, say no more’
The lovely Simon & Derek had their wedding at one of our favourite venues, Liverpool Town Hall. The ceremony was absolutely gorgeous and such an emotional moment in time. Even the registrar shed a little tear!
pre-drinks!
We first met up with Simon & Derek mingling amongst their guests and having a little drink opposite the Town Hall. We had a little pre-ceremony wander about around the streets along Castle Street. It’s such a gorgeous area for pictures and really different to the rest of Liverpool’s City Centre area. There’s a real sense of history in the area, of course with it being right by one of the City’s oldest and most important buildings.
the ceremony
We then headed in with the guests whilst everyone got themselves seated. Simon and Derek had a little moment and checking each other our, doing some final touches before walking hand and hand down the aisle together. The ceremony was beautiful and the pair of the were beaming from ear to ear. There was no bigger smiles than when they were announced ‘Husband and Husband’ and went in for the big smooch!
titanic hotel
We spent some time getting those iconic shots from the historic balcony before wandering around to Exchange Flags for some confetti shots! Then we headed to Titanic Hotel (another of our favourite spots) to get some of that really industrial vibe style shots and even diced with death a few times to get a cool bridge shot!
We had the most lovely time with Simon & Derek and their families. We wish them (and their gorgeous dog, Eve!) all the love in the world for their lives together.
Loads of love,
Kimmy & Ant xxx
