West Tower, Aughton
First wedding venue we have for our best Lancashire wedding venues list is West Tower. West Tower is one of our favourite venues as it is close to home, and it is exclusive! So you know it’s all yours for the day and night. West Tower is like a classy blank canvas, with beautiful grounds for your guests and photo-ops! Will literally go with any colour scheme and has a cosy log fire for winter weddings. West Tower describes itself as ‘an Enchanted Hideaway’ and I find that quire accurate, you’re not too far from the rest of the world but feel like you’re smack bang in the middle of the countryside, with just beautiful hills & fields for miles!
We could shoot here every week, the interior is just beautiful and the big windows make the most gorgeous light for the wedding ceremony and reception. You can even get married outside if the weather is good! Then your guests can have a go of some lawn games, while you head off for some amazing couple’s portraits! Eaves Hall, Clitheroe
You cannot go wrong with Eaves Hall, the grounds are stunning in the winter and the summer! We’ve had a few weddings here and they’ve either been kissed by snow or had the sun and amazing blossoming flowers!
Eaves Hall benefits from beautiful dark wood, contrasted with light walls and large bright windows, letting light in and keeping everything looking BEAMING with the darker sections of the venue keeping everything bold and rich. The ceremony & reception rooms are much lighter and look absolutely stunning when dressed!

Stirk House, Clitheroe
Stirk House has one thing that no venue has, DAVE. Dave is the Master of Ceremonies and he is one top guy! He will literally make your day go without a hitch, he’s the loveliest gent but also gets stuff done properly, he’s a legend! Aside from the amazing Dave, you also have the venue itself, the ceremony room is rich and luminous and has a real countryside vibe as it is nestled in the fields and has a long drive up to get to it!

Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa, Formby
Another local beauty for us! Formby Hall was originally just for golfing enthusiasts and spa goers but once they started taking wedding bookings, they got so busy! They have an amazing secluded space for your reception and allow you around the grounds (cautiously) and with a golf buggy if you’re good! There’s a gorgeous lake area with a cute little bridge for some lovely photos and they have so much greenery. The venue inside is intimately lit in the downstairs area and upstairs they have an option of two huge rooms for you to celebrate in! Another plus is you may see a celeb or two taking in a few rounds of golf.

Lancashire Manor, Skelmersdale
We love Lancashire Manor, it’s another one that’s not too far from home. You’d be shocked to find where tis venue is actually located because it feels like it’s out in the sticks but it’s not far off the motorway! But that wont interfere with your day, it’s far enough away. It has tonnes of rooms for your guests to stay overnight so you know you can party into the wee hours without anyone having to nip home early! Lancashire Manor also has the most lovely balcony area where you can see all your guests from!

Great Hall at Mains, Poulton-Le-Fylde
Another venue that is stunning during winter and summer (look at that winter light!) The Great Hall at Mains has us as their recommended supplier, so you know they’re good eggs! They have a stunning farm looking venue but with beautiful accommodation attached, the house is lovely and authentic but benefits from an extension with a huge kitchen/ dining area with huge windows which makes it an amazing place to get ready and the back of the house is an amazing place to go for pictures too! The outside of The Great Hall is beautiful and rustic and the inside has a huge chandelier making it so easy to have beautiful decorations!

Abbey House Hotel & Gardens, Barrow-in-Furness
Abbey House Hotel is a proper grand venue! Has a massive driveway up with huge fountain and an abundance of rooms for everyone to stay in! The venue room is beautiful and wooden and has the opportunity to decorate spectacularly. After the ceremony, there’s a bar area for guests to chill out or they can head out into the garden area, we usually encourage this so we can get everyone in on the confetti action! The reception room is a gorgeous big room that’s well lit and is quickly transformed for the evening reception

Warren Farm, Formby
An equestrian centre in Formby, Warren Farm is just the perfect backdrop for any DIY couple! You can 100% make it yours, with its modern industrial vibe and being situated on a farm, it’s definitely a DIY-ers dream! There’s loads of space for pictures outside and there’s loads for your guests to take in and see!
